Human Rights And Employee Rights Policy

In every service we offer, in every step we take, we prioritize human focus and ethical values, and we see it as our priority to create a working environment and ecosystem that contributes to the provision of economic, social and environmental sustainability.
On this basis, in the relationships we establish with our employees, customers, business partners and all our stakeholders;

• The Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and the Convention on the Rights of the Child,
• ILO (International Labour Organization) Conventions to which our country is a party,
• United Nations Business and Human Rights Principles,
• United Nations Global Principles,
• In order to demonstrate an attitude of adherence to the fundamental rights and freedoms guaranteed by the OECD (Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development) Principles for Multinational Companies, to ensure compliance with national legislation on working life, we undertake to comply with the following principles and to fulfill our duties to ensure wholehearted adherence to these principles in our ecosystem.
PRINCIPLES
1. In Derluks Investment Holding’s own business processes and supply chain, child labor, which is considered to be mentally dangerous, physical, social or morally dangerous and harmful for children, is not permitted. Derluks Investment Holding takes all possible measures to comply with national and international legislation on the non-employment of child labor.
2. Only those who want to work with us of their own free will are employed at Derluks Investment Holding. No form of modern slavery such as human trafficking, forced labor, forced labor is acceptable within Derluks Investment Holding and its ecosystem.
3. Derluks Investment Holding is aware that its employees are the basis of its success. In this direction, in order to create a working environment worthy of human dignity and value;
• In the decisions taken among the employees on recruitment, promotion, development, etc., no distinction is made between gender, religion, language, race, ethnicity, physical appearance, disability status.
• All kinds of discrimination and harassment that may occur against or between employees are opposed and no concessions are made on these issues.
• The “Rights and Freedoms of Assembly” and “Rights to Establish Trade Unions and Engage in Trade Union Activities”, which are also expressed in the Constitution of the Republic of Turkey, are respected.
• Modern working environments are provided, especially to ensure occupational health and safety.
• Legal working hours are observed and work-life balance is maintained and encouraged.
• Measures are taken against all kinds of violence in the workplace or at home, and adequate and clear regulations are included in our policies and procedures that constitute the basis of our corporate governance.
• Increasing work efficiency, digitalization of business processes, facilitating workplace life and access to work tools, finding quick solutions to technical and administrative problems, offering non-wage benefits to employees, measuring performance objectively; In short, initiatives are taken to ensure employee happiness and welfare. These principles, which we have adopted regarding our employees, are encouraged to be adopted and implemented by our suppliers and business partners.
4. Derluks Investment Holding, within the scope of the above-mentioned national and international legislation and principles, fulfills its obligations in order to ensure that its employees and customers can exercise their rights to privacy and freedom of expression in accordance with the law; designs and implements processes for the protection of personal data.
5. Derluks Investment Holding sees the future as a trust of children and in this sense, it makes every effort to protect children’s rights and to raise a healthy and vigorous generation so that children can look to the future with confidence.
GOVERNANCE OF POLICY
Derluks Investment Holding, in order to ensure that this Policy is carried out effectively and in accordance with its purpose;
a. Endeavours to ensure that the principles set out in the policy are adopted in business processes and by its managers and employees.
b. It develops practices and procedures for the implementation of the Policy, related training and awareness activities and the determination of the governance processes in detail, and monitors the compliance with the Policy and the procedures issued based on it within the relevant Boards and Committees, especially the Sustainability Committee.
c. It sensitively evaluates the applications to be made regarding the non-compliance with the principles contained in this Policy.
d. In cases of possible violations, it carries the subject to the relevant internal units according to the subject of the violation, establishes the necessary procedures within the framework of its internal procedures and rules, and operates its determined processes.
e. If the employees learn or suspect a violation of the Code of Ethics of the Company or the laws and regulations to which the Company is subject, they are obliged to communicate this to their superior or to the General Manager of the company, as the case may be, if the situation is related to the superior supervisor or if the superior does not take any steps regarding the incident suspected of violation.
